Terry Yarbrough
Founder / Director
Terry Yarbrough, an accomplished lacrosse player and revered coach, has made a significant impact in the sport, from his time on the field as a player to his current role as a coach and program founder. Terry's passion for lacrosse was ignited at Hayfield Secondary School, where he made an immediate mark on the school's history by breaking numerous records and becoming the school's first US Lacrosse All-American.
After High School, Terry took his talents to the University of Detroit Mercy, where he proved himself as a formidable Division 1 lacrosse player. His proficiency in the sport didn't end with college. Terry went on to play professional lacrosse for the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) team, the Chesapeake Bayhawks, in 2017, prior to the merger with the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). Unfortunately, an injury cut his promising professional career short, but this setback did not quench his zeal for the sport.
In 2019, Terry returned to his roots, taking on the role of offensive coordinator for his alma mater, Hayfield Secondary School. Under his leadership, the program transformed into state title contenders, winning back-to-back district championships in 2022 and 2023.
Known for his strategic acumen and ability to inspire young athletes, Terry has channeled his love for the game into creating BKLC where he seeks to pass on his knowledge, experience, and passion to the next generation of lacrosse players.
